Kikuyu grass holds its colour well throughout winter and can with stand mild frosts. It also does very well in the Australian environment as it has drought tolerance qualities, making it an excellent choice if your turfing area has high sun exposure. Kikuyu grass can grow in partially shady areas but it does need some sunlight. Kikuyu doesn’t grow as well in shade. Kikuyu does require frequent mowing due to its high growth rate.
